This is a blog that Michael Poczynek created some time ago to demonstrate how poor some of the photographs are on Real Estate Agent Websites, Realtor.com, Realtor.ca, and various “for sale by owner” or FSBO sites. A potential buyer has seconds to determine if he or she wishes to look into this listing further. Based on the following photos below, would you want to look into any of these Real Estate Listings further?
I wonder if the mileage and year are on the cutsheets?
Centre frame, toilet seat up, ready aim shoot…
… and … one step to the left to avoid the car and show the garage.
Let me see… if I can get the telephone pole in there, and stop worrying about being level, this may work.

I just simply cannot understand how an agent will sit in their car and take a picture. Removing the garbage can from frame may enhance the photo as well.

Yes, this low resolution pixilated aerial photos really makes me appreciate the listing.
Not to mention the fact that this picture only occupies a third of the width of the picture size for MLS.
Yes, the house does include a front lawn as shown in this picture.
A furnace on its side, and the bottom half of an electrical panel – call me SOLD!
I am just amazed that there is never a shortage of materials for bad agent photos. Not to mention some admin posted these pictures.
Make the neighbour’s driveway half of the picture frame.
The lead primary picture should always include the neighbour’s driveway.
Waiting until sunset and aiming the camera right into the sun will give you a great picture.
